CHANGING THE MINDSET OF UGANDAN ENTREPRENEURS: FROM MUPPETS TO GAZELLES PROJECT JOB ADVERTISEMENT

 Job Title: Business Advisor / Business Executive

 Reports to: Manager Resource Centre

 Uganda Investment Authority in partnership with Makerere University Business School, Uganda Women Entrepreneurs Association Limited and Eindhoven University of Technology is running a project entitled “Changing the Mindset of Ugandan Entrepreneurs: From Muppets to Gazelles”. The project set up an Entrepreneurship unit at Nakaseke Tele Centre to run the project’s entrepreneurship initiatives.

 Job Summary: The Business Advisor, will be responsible for entrepreneurship activities of the project at the Centre
 Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  Coordinate and manage entrepreneurship activities and events at the district
  Coordinate and manage project work plans at the district to ensure that the deliverables are attained.
 Training entrepreneurs
  Mentoring entrepreneurs
 Carrying out field visit of entrepreneurs
  Timely reporting on the progress of project activities
 Organizing and facilitating networking events

 Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 
 The applicant should be a Ugandan and resident of Nakaseke district.
 Hold a Bachelor degree in Entrepreneurship, Business Administration, Agribusiness, Social Sciences and related courses.
  Any additional qualifications in the necessary field will be an added advantage.
  1 year experience of working with rural entrepreneurs.
  Has been actively involved in youth and women entrepreneurship programmes.
  Demonstrates ability to organize Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) networks and events.
  Good Interpersonal and Communication skills.  Ability to mentor entrepreneurs.
