 MY LIFE DURING COVID-19 PERIOD

I am Nakato Joweria aged sixteen years and I am in senior Four at Nalinya Lwantale Girl’s School in Bombo-Ndejje. I stay at Nakaseke Town in Sensula Zone and I live with my parents and My father’s name is Ssalongo NduggaUmaruh and is a farmer. My mother is a market vendor and her name is Nnalongo Nabatanzi Zainah.

I always help my parents in house work like cooking food, washing utensils, fetching water, collecting firewood and washing clothes and in this COVID period I have managed to visit some of my friends and I have shared different messages with them like how they take their life when at school. I have also acquired some new skills and I hope to learn more. I am trying to work hard so that I become a future medical doctor in order to make people survive death.
Putting that aside, on March 20th,2020, during the outbreak of COVID-19, the president of Uganda allied on 18th,2020 the danger of the disease and schools were closed down. During this period thing were very tough for me!  to find some learning materials was very difficult since we were not give exercises when we left school and I was redundant at home. Therefore, my father decided to bring me to a Library and I was very happy for allowing me to acquire Computer skills.I pity my fellow youths who are wandering in the villages doing nothing. However, I would like to encourage them and their parents to make use of the Library.

During this period, I have learnt how to type, save documents, inserting pictures into the document, to find and replace documents, deleting texts, text wrapping, working with columns and photo editing. For now, I am happy to see that I can do something on the computer. I am sure by the end of COVID period I will have mastered some new more computer skills.
